G&L President's Day 30 August 2015

By Simon Hussey
The star all-rounder is centre stage.
Heave Ho from Hillsy.
FORE! Or Four. Same thing really.
Powell W delivers.
Woosie using his height well. Other bowlers take note.
The Governor fuzzes one in from deep.
Bru Magoo also maximising his height. Nice work Bru!
The devious Master Magoo hatches another cunning plan.
Young Lubey demonstrates the art of standing on a shoelace. It's not as easy as it looks.
William alert as ever to the danger of runs scored off his own bowling.
Plink.
This one hasn't landed yet.
JR Ewing pings one in from afar.
Little hands, Huge Legend. Our man Dillo!
Did he edge that?
Batsman says "It only hit this" but the Ump is unmoved.
"You heard it too didn't you?"
"Rassenfassenrickrastardly!"
The Legendary Chair turns his arm over.
This might have been called the Legends XI. Here's JC in action.
Hillsy gives his best Nick Faldo smile.
O.P. shows us how it's done.
Good effort but hopelessly optimistic.
Another rare sighting of Jim with his clothes on.
Batsman' eye's light up but....
...JR plucks it from the heavens. What a catch!
Further optimism.
F.E.C.
He bats, he bowls and he fields. And he's better than his dad at all three.
The captivated gallery.
Another multi-skilled Powell.
Mooch gazes.
Mooch goofs.
Oscar metes out some aggro.
"Keep working at it Lubey and one day you'll be as good as me".
Luke raises a laugh but inside he's crying. Crap ball, crap shot.
Oogy and Suchin not entirely convinced by Aman's explanation of how an aeroplane stays in the air.
Runs there for young Oscar.
Sir Geofferd joins the runfest.
Os makes his ground so, obvs, Not Out.
Oscar's work is done. A fine effort from the wee scamp.
Congratulations from one legend to an emerging other.
Oscar rightly proud of a job well done.
Brotherly love.
Sir Geddingfold and Lady C.O. Bouquet
